Stained & discolored teeth are extremely common and can affect personality & unpleasant smiles.

We observe carefully if discoloration is extrinsic or intrinsic then different methods of removal of discoloration is advised.

If it is external, then it can be removed with instant vital bleaching or slow bleaching process. Sometimes if there is too much external discoloration then we may choose a combination of bleaching & Air abrasion, non-filler technique or dental veneer according to clinical situation.

Second is intrinsic discoloration probably due to Trauma as it is indication of dead tooth then it is advised for Root canal procedure with Non-Vital Bleaching if complete tooth is intact.
